PRIMARY 1A   8.6.20
Good morning everyone.
I hope you all enjoyed your weekend at home with your families and friends. Well done to all the boys and girls in our class who completed the different sporty challenges, to achieve their bronze and silver awards. I could tell that you were trying really hard.

Our book of the week will be “The Rainbow Fish” and our literacy and numeracy activities will be based on this book and will be posted over on Seesaw. Our new learning grid is also attached and you can choose when to complete these activities, that cover the other curricular areas.

Literacy
  • Listen to “The Rainbow Fish”. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QFORvXhub28
  • Write a book review about “The Rainbow Fish”. There is a template for this on Seesaw.
  • Talking/listening tell me about something you have shared. Make a recording on Seesaw or write about it in your jotters.

Numeracy
  • The Rainbow Fish Counting Activity count the different coloured scales and then put the information you have gathered on a block graph.
  • Learn the “Rainbow Fish Sharing Song” that is on Seesaw. Cut out 12 scales. Share out the scales between 2 people, 3 people, 4 people, 6 people. How many does each person get? Are they shared equally? Share them out between 5 people. Is this fair? Can you think of anything else that you count to share out at home?
  • Log in to Education City and I have set some information handling activities in the Homework section.  (Pet’s Corner, Pictograms and Charts.)

I look forward to seeing all of your posts over on Seesaw. If anyone else has completed their alphabet books or posters please share them with me.
Stay safe and keep smiling.
