Good morning everyone. I hope you all enjoyed the fantastic weather yesterday. Did any of you have your paddling pools out? I hope you all remembered to stay safe in the sun!
I am going to post your literacy and numeracy activities on Seesaw. Please remember to choose which ones you want to do and do not feel that you have to do them all.
Literacy
- In school we learned the sound ie (Remember the action for this sound is to salute the captain and say “ie, ie captain!”) Go through the ie PowerPoint. Can you sound out the words?
- Read the postcard. Highlight all the ie sounds on the postcard.
- Find and write the ie words. Choose 3 ie words to use in sentences.
Numeracy
- We are going to do a bit of work on estimating. This means that you make a guess. How many objects are in the jars? Is it a big number of objects? Is it a small number? Can you see a pattern that you recognise? Write down what you think first and then count and check. Work through the extension questions on the cards.
- Counting within 20- Unicorns
- Complete the “Sock- counting in 2s” activity on Seesaw.
