Tuesday 26th May
Happy Tuesday! I really enjoyed chatting to you yesterday even though I think some of you were being shy 😊 We will try to play Kahoot next week but will have a quiz up my sleeve if it doesn’t work. I might have to mute the chat more next time as it was hard to hear who was talking with all the background noise. So, we will see how that goes. Hope you’ve managed to look at the grid and maybe tried one of the tasks? Here are today’s Numeracy and Literacy tasks.
Numearcy task  li – to measure time
Brown group – li calculate the time in various ways
Complete the two tasks, looking at measuring time in different ways using the written method, 24 hour clock, 12 hour clock and analogue.
Purple group– li to calculate durations by planning an event
Using your knowledge of durations and time, your task is to plan your own day out once lockdown is over. Start with what time you would wake up and end with bedtime. Use the grid and task from last week as an example for to help you set it out. I am looking for the time of when each thing you are doing starts and the duration it takes.
Blue group– li to calculate durations and time intervals
Using your duration time from last week, your task is to plan a weekend for once lockdown is over. This would start on Saturday morning when you get up until Sunday evening when you head to bed. Think about how you could lay this out and I will be looking for the times activities start at and the duration. Make sure you have the whole weekend planned and that there are no gaps.
Literacy Task – li – to comprehend a text
Winston Churchill became Prime Minister during WWII. Today’s comprehension is all about facts about him. This task is chilli challenged *=green ** = orange *** = red So think about which one would be the best one to do for your learning> The answers are at the end of each comprehension tasks so not peaking!
Remember to always be the best version of yourself!                               Â
