Happy Monday, I hope you all had a lovely weekend and took time to enjoy some of the beautiful sunshine we have been having. 😎
Maths Monday
Today we will be continuing to learn about fractions, with today's learning focused on reading and writing fractions.
Task 1 - Watch the video I have uploaded onto Seesaw which explains how to read and write fractions.
Task 2 - Complete both worksheets I have attached. This is new learning for us, so if the questions become too much, stop.
Task 3 - Log onto Education City and complete the Fractions tasks I have set. There are different games and worksheets to support your learning in fractions, there are also some helpful explinations which will help your learning and understanding.
Extension tasks
Task 1 - Help someone at home to prepare a meal for your family. As you are cooking and preparing the meal, cut and chop things into different fractions. Are you able to cut things into equal fractions? It can be a lot trickier than you think! Can you share the meal equally between everyone who is having some? How do you know it is equal?
Taks 2 - Use fractions in your artwork. Use pens, pencils, crayons, painting, playdough, Lego - anything you want- to use fractions in an art project. This website might give you some ideas, or explore online youself.

Have a wonderful day, don't forget to take time to enjoy some fresh air! 😁
