Good morning Primary 2! 😊
Happy Tuesday everybody! I hope you all enjoyed yesterday’s maths work. The extra challenge was very tricky, so please do not worry if you did not understand it (yet!). We wll look at fractions again back at school.Â
Today is Topic Tuesday. We have hopefully answered all the questions you had asked about Lighthouses and nearing the end of that part of the topic.
At some point today, with an adult, ask them to ask you about some of the questions and see if you can remember what we have learned about lighthouses.
If you have any more questions, then let me know and we will try to fit in another topic activity or two. If not, we will move on to our next short topic which I know you will love!Â
TOPIC TUESDAY
Listen to the story ‘The Lighthouse Keeper’s Picnic’ over on Seesaw.
Task one
Log on to Education City to learn all about healthy eating.
Start with the video “Balancing Act” – this is tablet friendly and will explain about all the types of food we need to keep us healthy. (This is tablet friendly!)
There are a few activities you can choose to complete, however these are not tablet friendly.
Task two
Plan a healthy picnic for you and your family, or an imaginary one for Mr and Mrs Grinling.
Use what you have learned about healthy foods to plan your picnic. For example, there should be lots of fruit and vegetables, some dairy etc…
Use the ‘Eat Well Guide poster’ to help you.
You could create a picnic menu, draw a picture and label your picnic or write a list of what you would have in your picnic.
Have a fantastic day. Take lots of breaks, get outside and have fun!
