I hope you have all had a lovely weekend with your families and enjoyed the sunshine.

MATHS MONDAY

This week we are learning all about fractions!

Task one

Please log on to Education city and work your way through the fraction videos and activities. It is a fantastic resource and should allow you to access it independently. I have created a fairly long sequence of videos and activities, so when the challenge becomes too much, just stop there!

I have messaged you your username/password details over on Seesaw.

Task two

P2’s PIZZA PARLOUR
This one is back over on Seesaw – but could be done as a craft activity!

1. PIZZA PARLOUR

Help the Pizza Parlour to send out the correct orders over on Seesaw! Read the orders carefully and draw the fractions before adding the toppings. These get a little trickier as they go on.

If you enjoy this you could set up your own pizza parlour play area at home (only pens and paper needed – make a sign, make a menu, draw some pizza bases and cut out some toppings.)
 

2. My Perfect Pizza

What would the perfect pizza look like in your house? Take your families orders and build your perfect pizza. Can you write which fraction of the pizza would have which topping?

Task three

Work through the Fractions booklet over on Seesaw. There are two booklets to choose from: one focus on halves and quarters, the other focuses on halves, thirds and quarters. Choose the one that best challenges you.

You can do as much or as little of this booklet as you like!
