Good evening,
Everyone in Primary 1/2 took their new reading book home yesterday, which should be read and returned to school next Monday please. Every child was given a sound mat and tricky word mat to practise too. Please encourage your child to write the sounds and words as well as being able to recognise/read them on sight.
All of my Primary 2 children will be narrators in our Christmas Nativity. They were given their speaking parts and took them home in their school bags yesterday (white paper on black card). I would really appreciate it if you could spend some time practising their words at home.
My Primary 1s will be stars or snowflakes in the Christmas Nativity. All the costumes are in school and we will learn some dances to go with the various songs that help tell the Christmas story. We know things are not going to be quite the same this year but we will do our best to make Christmas special!
Over the last few weeks, we have enjoyed looking for signs of autumn out in the park, collecting lots of leaves and identifying some of the trees that grow there.
We did some fantastic art work using blow painting and printing to create our own “Autumn” art work.
